Slow metabolism, small appetite
In cold water carp feed far less. Heavy baiting often does more harm than good.
Choose digestible baits
Lighter, low-oil mixes with strong soluble attraction work better than heavy oily fishmeals.
Go small and visual
A single bright pop-up or a short stringer of three to five small boilies is often all you need.
Move to find fish
Winter carp shoal tightly. Look for signs, try different areas and be prepared to relocate.
